Garden Steps
“As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations, before him who believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17
Right now, there are many needs that we are facing in our world — needs so great that, without the intervention from God, there is no possible way to solve them. We are on the brink of economic collapse because national leadership thinks they can solve problems without using the Biblical system of economics. It won’t work.
There has been a lot of talk recently, about worldwide problems of uprisings and chaos We, as believers, need to be certain, now more than ever before, that we understand and abide by God’s laws of abundance. These laws are extremely important and are not complicated. I thought this month would be good to review those laws.
1 – Decide to plant. What a perfect time to be reminded, as, here in my part of the world, we prepare to plant seeds in our gardens for what we desire to harvest in late summer.
In Mark 4, Jesus compared the workings of the Kingdom of God to planting seeds in the earth. In verse 32 He said, “it grows up and becomes greater.” He did not say it occasionally grows up and becomes greater. He said it grows up and becomes greater. Period. Gods economy, unlike ours, is not up one day and down the next. It always produces. If you have good ground, good seed and water you will have growth. God’s Word is incorruptible seed. So, when we have a need, plant a seed. When you plant the seed, praise and worship God over it, thanking him for the provision that is to come.
2 – Find good ground. We are always rotating the position of where we plant our garden so we get the best yield from the seeds we plant. The same process applies in the kingdom. We need to plant our money seed in ground that produces. Look at the person, place or ministry where you are planting and see what kind of yield they have produced in the past.
Go to the Lord and find out where He wants to put your seed. He will direct you to place it into ground that is producing much fruit. 3 – Water the seed. In the gardening process, we realize that if we don’t water our seed it will affect our harvest. The same can be said in the Kingdom system. Once your seed is placed in good ground, keep watering it with the Word of God. Speak faith over it by “calling things that be not as though they were.” Speak Mark 11:22-24 over the seed, and have what you say.
We need to quit speaking the problems and start speaking the promises. One promise that I always say over my seed is Luke 6:38. “Lord, You said that what I give would be given unto me, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over it shall come back to me.”
3 – Plant your seed. Find good soil. Water it. Then, as Mark 4:27 says, all you have to do is “sleep, and rise day and night, and the seed will spring up and grow.”
