Kids Investing in Kids
As we are watching the older youth within NHO start to become young adults, it brings many thoughts and concerns, but God gives us glimpses of the great things they can do. Early in December, we received a report from Bunthorn, one of the college students within NHO.

Student Teachers
“Since I was young, I had a strong desire to help people, especially the poor in rural areas. I have asked God to use my knowledge for glorifying His name. In 2008, I started to share my understanding of either English or Computer skills to various places in Phnom Penh, slums and provinces.
I shared my willingness to teach with all youth and they joined hands with me. We made a teaching plan for kids in various dorms of NHO during the Water Festival Holiday from 9th to 12th November, 2011. In our plan, we wanted to teach English, Khmer, Mathematics, the Word of God, Dancing, Computer Skills and Life Skills to children from grade 1 up to 12 at the Pursat 2, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Sihanoukville, and Kampong Cham Homes.
• Kampong Cham – Miss Sreynech taught Khmer language and Mathematics. Miss Many encouraged students to build a plan for their future and taught how to live in society after leaving NHO. Mr. Samrang taught English.
• Sihanoukville – Mr. Samnang and Miss Chanthoeun taught Khmer literature and Mathematics. Mr. Matthew taught the children how to dance to two praise songs.
• Pursat 2 – Miss Sreynou and Miss Sreyteang taught Khmer literature and Mathematics. I taught Computer skills.
• Battambang – Mr. Panha taught English. Mr. Sophal taught Bible. Miss Phearum taught Khmer literature and Mathematics and helped the cook.
• Banteay Meanchey – Mr. Nith, taught English. Mr. Sothea shared the Word of God. Sochea taught Khmer literature and Mathematics.
In the mornings and evenings, one of the team at each home led the children to the presence of the Lord via praise, worship and prayer. Then they studied the Word of God together. The houseparents were so happy to see children in Phnom Penh to use their break time from school to teach people in provinces to strengthen the quality of education. Though their time together is very short, children were joyful to absorb new knowledge.”
