Revival in Thailand

Happy Valley Pizza Company was filled with students. Bangkok is a very young place. The young lady beside me reached into her purse and, finding her Bible, turned to Matthew 18 to ask me about the little child. I sat there in a pool of joy. She has come to the Lord through the outreach of another young Thai who came to the Lord through an outreach we did in her village many years ago.

They are the fruit of so many people working together. As we sat there, going through verse by verse on restoration of relationships and the gaining of the brother, finally coming to the great “Bind and Loose” verse which took us to John 20:21-22 where Jesus gave the power to forgive, I had a very deep sense of being a key in fanning the flames of revival in Thailand.

This land of 65 million people is less than 1% Christian. The Gospel has been preached, and in the early 19th century it was decided that the Thai should lead the church and foreign involvement began to decrease.  In the past decade, conversion has been less than population growth.

So this young lady and her young mentor are a very rare find. Thais reaching Thais with the gospel is an answer to 20 years of prayer. We first stepped into Thailand when this child was 2 years old. Over the years, with so many people involved, so many prayers offered, we are seeing some answers. Young people are coming to Christ.

Each is an answer to prayer.

I shared with her Romans 8:34, how Jesus is praying for us, and Romans 8:26, how the Holy Spirit is also praying for us – how every minute of her day the Lord is praying for her. She is an answer to prayer. Jesus has forgiven her and she must forgive others to go forward in her life.

Please pray daily for these lost souls in Thailand. Please think about these young people and the way the Lord is breaking through in their fledgling fellowship and please call upon the Lord for each answer to prayer.
