Quest College & Answered Prayers
Bob Roth, a businessman who supports SEAPC and a frequent traveling companion and prayer partner, and I were visiting the Seed Church in Phuket, Thailand. My first time there, I was explaining our 20-year relationship with Thailand. We had come here to pray for the nation, raised up teams to pray, established a prayer center, and now were touring the country mobilizing nationals to pray. In the course of the comments, I realized that the church in which I was speaking is only 10 years old. It is an answer to prayer.
I asked of the people, “How many of you have come to Christ in the past 20 years?” and all raised their hands. Then I wondered how many thousands of people have come to Christ in Thailand during the time of focused prayer? Each is an answer to prayer. When we ask the Lord, He will give us the nations.
The second service in this 400-member church is an English service. Held Sunday afternoon, it is well attended. I arrived early to pray with the band and tune in to what the Lord had in mind when a young man got up from the drums and approached me. Tall, he looked to be about 30. He greeted me with a question, “Pastor, do you remember teaching Attack Lambs to the youth camp at Calvary Charismatic Center in Singapore?” Calvary is now Victory Family Center and is a great mission church with multiple campuses and outreaches around the world.
“I do.” I responded. “In fact, I shall never forget a tall, young, Indian boy who told me that when he got home, if he did not bow to his father’s idol, his father would kill him with a knife.”
“Really,” said the young man.
“Yes” I affirmed. “Have you any idea what became of that boy?”
“I was the only Indian in the youth group.” He responded. “And that man in the back row is my father. He also came to Christ and no longer has the knife or the idol.”
I was a bit overwhelmed at the goodness of the Lord. It had been 16 years since I had seen this young man. I have thought of him often and used his story of persecution as a point in teaching and a sermon illustration. But, never in a million years did I think I would ever see him again.
How faithful is our God. He answers prayer. He is the One in whom we can trust, upon whose words we can stand.

Quest College
Several months ago, we presented the need to build the TipValy University in Vientiane Laos. Our goal of $250,000 to build a facility that will graduate 1,000 Christ-centered, Bible-Based, excellent youth seemed very far away. Readers have provided $30,000 of the cost and, with 10%, our brothers were able to secure financing to build. Bob and I toured the facility and ministered the filling of the Holy Spirit to the staff. We will see the Lord provide the balance we need, but as you read this, the students are enrolling and classes under way. We are praising the Lord for His greatness in this work.
Quest College, a school for 40 severely physically handicapped, has also joined with the university and the City Church meets there.
God answers prayer. John 14:14 encourages us to ask for the things we need for the greater works. We are asking and He is providing so that the Father will be glorified in the process.
