The Bikes are Delivered!
The recent bikeathon, Bike for Cambodia, raised a whopping total of $1,695! That means 29 children have bikes to ride to school, and another 17 children’s bikes will be repaired to use again. The bikeathon was held on the Freeport-Butler Trail and hosted by Pedal the Way at Riverside Community Church.
Sokhom, New Hope Childrens Homes (NHO)Director, went out with his team recently, and purchased and delivered all the bikes! It was a day-long event, traveling to four different homes, being greeted with big smiles and buying their bikes. At some homes, the children immediately left on their bikes for school.
