I’m currently using a Google Pixel 2 phone. This phone comes with an assistant who is waiting and ready to answer my questions. At any moment, I can pick up the phone with my hand, place my index finger on a sensor in the back for my imprint to unlock the security system, squeeze both side sensors to prompt the assistant, and then ask away.
I just paused, went through the steps, and asked the assistant, “What’s the new mathematical system for multiplication?” Instantly, 10 articles on “Common Core” popped up. Now it’s up to me to read those articles, understand their meaning, and expand my approach to teaching our 8-year-old son, Josh, his times tables. Thank you, Google. Several years ago I took a prayer walk on the campus of Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Mellon University and, through an amazing God-led encounter, met a man who is now a researcher and developer of systems possessing perceptual and cognitive intelligence, with applications in visual information understanding and retrieval, data mining, and autonomous robots, specializing in computer vision, machine learning, image/video processing and analysis, artificial intelligence, and robotics for Google. Sheesh! He is a much, much more intelligent man than I. We became friends and I found out that he spends about an hour of his day at a piano at work, singing worship songs and calling to God, in the name of Jesus, for answers, ideas, and direction.

In this year, SEAPC will open offices in London and Brazil; build several new children’s homes; break ground on a center for blindness in Kashmir; open its doors to two centers for autism in China; complete construction of training centers in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar; and mobilize hundreds of thousands of people in prayer for the Americas, all as part of the vision to see a world connected through prayer that brings Christ-based change to those in need. In these efforts, prayer is the source for answers, ideas, and direction. And it is prayer that brings us together to be a part of this life- and nation-changing ministry. What a revelation to know that in Jesus, our imprints are recognized by the Creator of all things. As we apply pressure in prayer, the Holy Spirit within us is prompted to attention, and as we call to God, He shows us great and mighty things that we know not of.
And far greater than my cell phone, He never rests, never cracks, and always comprehends.
My prayer to the Creator of all things today is for you: that through this blog and the posts on it you would find a place where you can connect and be used by God for an incredible purpose. To learn more about where and how SEAPC serves, click here.SEAPC is dedicated to changing lives through prayer. Jehovah Rapha (The Lord That Heals)
When I was in middle school, I experienced a few issues with my back. It was nothing that prevented me from activities but just resulted in what felt like small aggravations. I remember being in gym class when they told us that the nurse was there to do scoliosis checks on everyone. This check was to help identify students who might have curvatures of the spine so that they could connect families with medical resources. Every student groaned about the interruption and hoped that there would be no reason to be taken aside by the nurse later after all checks were complete.

That day, I was the one who was called to meet with the nurse when she was done. She had noticed a curvature and would talk with my parents about the next step. I was embarrassed and scared. I had heard stories of people having to wear back braces or get surgeries and could only imagine the worst. My parents tried to ease my fears and said that they would set up a meeting with a doctor for recommendations. Before they had a chance to schedule an appointment, a guest preacher came to speak at church one Sunday. Our church was full of believers who knew that we serve a healing God and were open to His supernatural work. The guest preacher shared the Word and then asked for people with back issues to come forward for prayer. I was somewhat apprehensive as I went to the front, as the only female in a group of all males. Most of them were hardworking men who had, more than likely, injured their backs at work or in sports. However, I had a sense in my spirit that God had “read my mail” and was responding to my need.

The preacher asked me about my back and I told him about the nurse’s concern. He asked me to sit in a chair nice and straight and then held my legs out in front of me. He asked me if I could see that one leg was slightly shorter than the other. I could see the difference and realized that this must be the source of the problem. Right then, while holding my legs up, the preacher began to pray over my back and legs. I opened my eyes when the prayer was over and looked down at my feet. My legs were the same length! The preacher had not pulled or adjusted my legs and, in fact, I had never felt them move at all, though they must have because now they were the same length! From that day on, I never had another problem with my back! At the next middle school scoliosis check, the nurse did not later pull me aside to share a concern because there was none! God, my Jehovah Rapha (the Lord that Heals), had fulfilled His healing promise in my life as He would over and over again in years to come!To learn more about where and how SEAPC serves, click here.SEAPC is dedicated to changing lives through prayer. Volunteer Opportunity
Growing pains. No one truly likes them, but they are a sign of growth, advancement, and fruitfulness. Raising Kids has been experiencing growing pains for a while and, right now, they are the most painful that they have ever been.

Marvelous things are happening within Raising Kids. We now serve five different ministries in five different countries (Cambodia, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal), with sights on more. There are over 700 children/young people living in these homes. This means that every day, over 700 youngsters are safely sheltered, fed, clothed, educated, cared for, and (most importantly) learning more and more about Jesus. In addition to this, there are almost 400 sponsors who are connected specifically with the SEAPC USA office for their sponsorships.Recently, if you haven’t heard, God answered a prayer that I (and others) have been praying for a long time. He provided someone who decided to sponsor all children who were available at that time. We have been rejoicing! Of course, we knew that it was temporary. Children are always arriving and sponsorships always changing. Now, just a few weeks later, there are possibly 11 young people—most of whom have just arrived—in Cambodia who need sponsors.

God has given me a vision for Raising Kids. The vision is that everyone involved with it—children, home staff, office staff, and sponsors— would have the best experience possible for God’s glory. This encompasses so many different things; from improving communication and information for sponsors to supporting the staff in many different ways to making the homes in the best condition possible to providing anything and everything the kids need to not just survive but thrive. The vision also includes supporting the staff in how to encourage the children to grow more in their relationships with Jesus, especially to be confident in who they are in Jesus. The older I grow and the more I deal with issues from my past, I know that confidence in who you are in Jesus is key to a thriving life.

With just me in our office trying to keep track of all of these things, I have failed. It is just too much for one person to do alone. I have managed with the great help of an intern the past two summers and a couple of people who can volunteer at times. The time has come where one or more volunteers, able to commit regular time, are needed. We need someone in our office full-time for assistance. This can be just one person or a couple of people who rotate days. Are you interested? There are some requirements. - You must love Jesus. - You must have a God-given passion to help orphaned, abandoned, and at-risk children and those who care for them. - You must pray. - You must be detail-oriented. - You must have basic computer skills and be teachable on programs. - You must be able to come into the SEAPC office in Oakmont (our office is open M-F, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM). -You must love Jesus… Yes, I said that one already. It is vital in what we do and was worth repeating.A volunteer would help with entering and maintaining child information, sending out new sponsorship packets to new sponsors, communicating with sponsors through various media (mostly email, letters, and phone calls), and various other tasks associated with Raising Kids. This will allow me to put more emphasis on the things we need to do to reach the vision that God has given, as well as improve the current level of ministry. If you feel God pulling at your heart right now, telling you that this is what He wants you to do, please call me at 412-826-9063 or email me at tinatomes@seapc.org.To learn more about where and how SEAPC serves, click here.SEAPC is dedicated to changing lives through prayer. Living a Supernatural Life
Meet Jeff and Tammy Yuen. Although this couple is based in Singapore their influence proves far reaching. Their childlike faith leads them to pray for the sick wherever they go and many have been healed. In more than one way, the Yuens’ lifestyle puts the super back in natural and empowers others to seek the Father with incredible zeal.

In 1995 the Yuens began meeting with a group called CORE, a community of Jesus loving friends. This unlikely group was formed by a New Zealand punk band, comprised of believers with a heart for society’s outcasts. At the time, most Christians wouldn't invite these people into their pews unless they gave up music or other things they loved. CORE, however, welcomed people with open arms, emulating the heart of Jesus. With a huge grin, Tammy shared about the authenticity she experienced through CORE. She was amazed by everyone’s genuine desire to share the love of God. With friendship at the pinnacle of this unique group it is no surprise their outreach exemplified this value. Their witness was moved through music and fellowship. These punk rock missionaries didn’t fit the aesthetic but they were warm and hospitable, which left a lasting impression upon the Yuen’s.

Eventually the band left Singapore, but Jeff and Tammy’s hearts were ignited for missions. Jeff spent five months abroad with Hubert Chan, living Luke 10 style, and Tammy ended up attending YWAM in Melbourne, Australia. Tammy’s outreaches were in both India and Thailand where her heart grew for the people of Thailand. While Jeff and Tammy were apart, these years were instrumental in their current and future ministries. After their solo stints abroad Jeff and Tammy were reunited and grew as friends. Around the same time the Lord brought Mark Geppert to Singapore for a season to pastor a church. Jeff wanted to visit this church, but it was far away from his home. In time, he convinced Tammy to join him and they made the trek together to attend. As it turned out, church can be a great place to kindle a budding romance. When Tammy attended she knew she was in the right place and hoped to be there for as long as Mark was leading this congregation. Through relationship, Jeff became the missionary intern for Mark, which lasted for a little over two years. These two years moved Tammy and Jeff beyond friendship. They were married in 2004 and two months later they moved to Nong Khai, Thailand as missionaries. During their first year of marriage, the Yuens were encouraged by Mark to “learn the language, stay married and make four friends.” Throughout the two years they spent in Thailand, Tammy and Jeff also spent time with the local church, taught English camps, participated in Jesus marches, and led drama outreaches. At one point, Jeff managed to meet the mayor of a neighboring region. The mayor experienced healing in his body and opened doors for them to bring blankets to a particular village during the cold season. When they went to this village the mayor’s own men helped carry the supplies. The mayor also acted as an advocate by sharing his testimony of healing upon entering the village. All of the village heard the good news because of this man. These moments of divine encounters and supernatural meetings continually impacted the Yuens. In 2007, Jeff received news his mom was diagnosed with advanced cancer. The Yuens decided to move back to Singapore, and shared the news about his mom’s declining health with some of their church colleagues and pastors back in Singapore. While Jeff and Tammy were on the flight home, those same pastors and colleagues visited Jeff’s mom in the hospital to share the gospel, and she gave her life to Jesus. Her salvation was the first of two miracles during this short season. Jeff heard from the Lord his mom would live through this terminal cancer. Sure enough, after making it through an important surgery his mom remains both healthy and cancer free to this day. At that time the Yuens were only just beginning to believe for cancer miracles but today these miracles are a common occurrence.

Shortly after settling back into Singapore, Tammy became pregnant with Josiah. With the birth of their first child and the natural transitions of life, they also began seeing growth within their spiritual community. This growth allowed the organic shaping of their group, Soakability, to begin. The Yuens would simply worship together with a group of a people and as they spent time in the Lord’s presence people were healed. News spread fast. As their numbers increased, their weekly worship night turned into a registered organization.Soakability became infamous for both healing and the unconventional ways Jeff and his friends prayed for the sick. Jeff would take people to the streets, pray inside temples, and at times wear a superhero costume. Naturally, this drew a large crowd and many people experienced healing in their body. While people were clearly encountering Jesus, the unconventional ways in which Jeff prayed for the sick was perceived as unpredictable and dangerous to a few local churches. Pastors began warning people to stay away from Soakability.

Despite the rumors about Soakability being a cult, the Lord continued to show up. For the past five years, people from Soakability have gone out to different parts of Singapore on Sunday afternoon to prayer walk or set up a free healing sign to offer prayer for the sick. The group spends the majority of their time praying outside a temple in Little India, but they have recently begun to expand their reach. Within these five years, there have been over 25,000 healings in this area. The number of reported healings are decreasing each Sunday, but this is a result of many locals having already experienced divine healing in their body. It is apparent this group’s faithfulness is touching many people, including the local church. Unity is a high value for Soakability and they welcome every single church who comes to pray for the sick. Street healing has become a normal occurrence for other churches. In fact, Tammy laughed when she shared “there are now many spidermen out and about healing the sick in the name of Jesus.” Initially churches were warned to stay away from Soakability and their unique approach towards ministry. For the local churches to not only begin following Jeff’s example, but also emulate even the super hero costumes is a beautiful picture of the kingdom. The Yuens’heart remains, to see everyone living in the fullness of who they were created to be as God’s children.

In 1978, Billy Graham released a word for Singapore to be the Antioch of Asia. Next year will mark 40 years since this word was given. The Yuens are believing for the fulfillment of this word. They believe the Great Commission is for every disciple and it brings them joy to imagine so much unity within the body that it is no longer a one man show. After spending any amount of time with Jeff or Tammy, to walk away without a smile and a heart full of encouragement would be especially difficult. Their childlike faith spills into even the most basic of conversations and effortlessly points back to Jesus. Jeff and Tammy offer the world a radical and unconventional picture of living life with the Father. So, if you find a superhero costume you know how to use it. Wink. Expecting the Promise
Butterflies filled the air in the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat, and bullets filled the air along the road leading to it. It was the spring of 1994. Cambodia was a nation in the grips of a civil war in which 50 percent of its population had been brutally killed by Pol Pot. Government forces were driving him and his Khmer Rouge army toward an eventual demise on the Thai border. In July 1997, he finally died and with him the terror. But, in the spring of 1994, a prayer team from a church in Singapore made its way along the Trail of Tears. Along this route, another 25 percent of the population ran for safety with all they could carry to UN refugee camps across the Thai border. While traveling the land, I was surrounded by the faces of traumatized children and elderly. Terror had taken a tremendous toll as one generation languished in despair, another filled Killing Fields, and the third sunk deeper into the abyss of human tragedy. Then it came to my mind, “From the Killing Fields and the minefields I will, in My Resurrection Power, raise up a generation who are Christ-centered, Bible-based, Spirit-filled, and academically excellent and they will be a witness to me in their village, their province, their nation, and around the world.”“Lord,” I said shaking my head. “Only You could ever do that. This is the greatest tragedy I have ever seen. What am I to do?”“Walk and pray, believe in me, speak the vision, and I will bring it to pass.”And with these words, we began what has been 24 years of a journey beyond imagination. Jesus gives us a promise, calls us to a process, joins to us His people, and produces His product. Veha is the leader of Banteay Meanchey Arise. He was born in 1994 in a village in the Rong Ko Cluster Commune. When he was 14 his high school principal, Hou Bun Heng, was approached by another village leader, Pastor Sinai Phouek, about meeting a friend from America who had a promise for Banteay Meanchey. Bun Heng, a Killing Fields survivor, asked the new friend to help him establish a high school for these young people. After the war, he had returned to his villages and had worked feverously to raise up a primary school and middle school. The American shared a promise about Resurrection Power and Jesus. Bun Heng had never heard such a thing, but if it would make a school for his kids, then he was for it. And so, a partnership was made which was called Cambodia Christian School Network. Hundreds of people from Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, and the United States began to relate around a vision for education opportunities from pre-school through high school, and finally Veha had a place to complete his high school education.Bun Heng’s back was miraculously healed and the teachers, seeing the Power, decided they wanted some and soon the faculty was all baptized as Christian believers. The students and families followed their witness and soon all were believing in the promise that Jesus was raising up a generation that would be Christ-centered, Bible-based, Spirit-filled, and academically excellent. The school graduated its first class and Veha won an SEAPC scholarship to go to university in the capital city of Phnom Penh. He was the first in his family to do so. As he finished his junior year he heard that the provincial government had invited the American to do at a provincial level what had been done in the village schools and Veha made the heartfelt commitment to work in that project. Now, Veha has been elected by his peers to be the leader of Banteay Meanchey Arise and has spent the last four months installing electricity and computer hardware in a central school in each of the nine public school districts of Banteay Meanchey province.

Last year Veha led in the distribution of 40,000 copies of My Precious Book, an English-Khmer Bible storybook for children. Each child receiving a book heard a team member’s testimony of what Jesus had done for them and thousands of children prayed to dedicate their lives to Jesus. Teams came from all over the world to serve in English camps at public school campuses. The English training and the books were so well received that the Ministry of Education mandated that every fourth- through sixth-grade teacher must become fluent in English over the next three years. To serve this vision, the Lord has sent Jenni Taylor to teach a Bible-based English as a second language course to teachers at the nine school centers and a team of 500 elementary teachers who will be led by Veha and his team. With the pastoral support and guidance of Hubert Tutwiler and the door-opening faith of Bun Heng and Pastor Sinai, this friendship has multiplied to 2,500 elementary teachers and approximately 45,000 students in fourth, fifth, and sixth grades.Through these years the scripture in Hebrews 6:12 has come to mind: “Be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience do inherit the promises of God.” The nations are our inheritance, we will not stop until they are reached or Jesus returns and He will not return before the gospel of the kingdom has been preached in all the earth as a witness.Yes, we have a promise. Yes, we are in the process. Yes, it takes a lot of people. Yes, we will see the product. Please pray that we stay the course through the full harvest. Please pray for the team and especially Veha and Jenni. Veha’s stated vision is to learn through Banteay Meanchey Arise and use what he has learned to reach all of Cambodia. These young people are involved in their generation. The hollow eyes of terrified children have been replaced with hope and vision for a new Cambodia. Each time Veha visits a school he sees himself and shares with the students how Jesus has met his need and raised him up. Their faith increases with every word. The first Water Drop training for teachers took place this past weekend to great success. Please check back in the coming weeks to read some first-hand accounts from the team as these trainings progress.

Accountants for Jesus
My first trip to Cambodia occurred last May when I joined a team from my church on a short-term trip. I immediately fell in love with the people and Cambodia holds a special place in my heart. I had a feeling that I would return, but I was unsure how I could serve or how the Lord could use me. I don’t have the typical ministry gifts that one might associate with missions. I am not active in children’s ministries and I do not have a medical background. I’m an accountant. After my high school graduation, I went to Bible college with the intent of being in full-time ministry. When my Bible college days ended, no opportunities for ministry were presented and I needed to earn a living. I began a job in accounting and have been in the field for over 20 years. I love accounting and I am good at my work, but I have always thought that my career kept me from ministry.Last November, I received an invitation to visit missionary friends of mine in Thailand. Since I was headed to Southeast Asia anyway, I decided to email SEAPC to see if there was anything I could do in Cambodia. Unknown to me at the time, the SEAPC Cambodia staff had lost the person who was doing the accounting. The new person who had stepped into the role needed some training to feel fully comfortable with the position. On a Tuesday morning, the SEAPC staff prayed that God would send them someone who could go and teach accounting. They received my email inquiry that evening!

So, in January, I went to Phnom Penh and spent a week training the staff in accounting. Each morning, the staff and I had devotional time before beginning the days work. By the end of the week, the Lord had accomplished so much through our time together. Not only did the staff get the training they needed on how to do the accounting work, they also were encouraged as to why their work was important. By keeping impeccable financial records, SEAPC maintains a high level of financial integrity, thus increasing the ability to obtain more sponsors and donors for the children of Cambodia. Additionally, better accounting enables SEAPC to be wise stewards of the funds they receive. The Cambodian staff was encouraged to learn that even though their time isn’t spent directly with the children, their work is actually helping the children in the NHO children’s homes. In just a short week, I made lasting relationships with my newfound friends. We made several amazing memories. We prayer walked in various places. On Sunday afternoon, my last day in Phnom Penh, my new friends and I were able to purchase food and soap and distribute them to families living in extreme poverty. It’s an afternoon I will never forget. These doors for ministry were opened because I am an accountant. All of these years what I thought was keeping me from ministry was actually paving the way for ministry. In the book of Exodus, God commands Moses to build a tabernacle. Moses was not able to do it alone and God gave him a team of workers. In Exodus 31:3, God speaks of one of the workers and says “I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills.” God had given each of Moses’s workers a vocational skill and He used each one to build His tabernacle.Today, God has asked His Church to build His Kingdom here on earth. He has given us all different skills. Sometimes, our gifts or skills may not appear to be “spiritual,” but as I shared with my Cambodian friends, when you belong to Christ, no part of you is “secular.”He is able to use anyone – even an accountant. To learn more about where and how SEAPC serves, click here.SEAPC is dedicated to changing lives through prayer. Go, Therefore into All the Earth
Meet Hubert and Agnes Tutwiler. He is a good ole’ boy from Texas with a southern drawl and welcoming presence. She is a beautiful Filipina with the ability to disarm and bring peace to even the most troubled of hearts. Together they create a dynamic faith-filled duo who live with three of their children in Cambodia.

While visiting Cambodia we were tasked with capturing the lives of this power couple. However, the better question we found is “what do they not do?” The Tutwilers are culturally literate restaurant connoisseurs. This magnetic couple also hold occupations as snake wranglers, chauffeurs, builders, chefs, and at times accountants. They see their primary role in Cambodia as servants. It is their shared desire to primarily support local missionaries, ministries, and guests who visit for a season. Amazingly, a Texan man and a Filipina woman are the ultimate welcoming committee within Banteay Meanchey. The Tutwilers embody the commandment of Jesus’ words, “Go, therefore into all the Earth.”The Tutwilers maintain a level of favor in the Banteay Meanchey province of Cambodia (BMC). In fact, Hubert jokingly describes himself as “the strange foreigner who loves on everyone’s baby.” In a way, he functions like the mayor of BMC and Agnes would readily agree. Agnes shared that even the older people in BMC are friends of Hubert’s. Recently, an older woman ran straight towards Hubert and offered him a wide, spontaneous smile. This woman had remembered Hubert’s consistent generosity. With a playful grin, Agnes mentioned, “all of the older people know Hubert will never turn them down.” Anges’ pride in her husband is evident. The Tutwilers’ union and their subsequent call to Cambodia spans several oceans and a few nations. While their marriage is an inspirational story of its own, their arrival to BMC proves equally remarkable.

In 2010 the Tutwilers attended a conference which altered the course of their life. While attending this conference, they witnessed a video giving statistics about sex and human trafficking within Cambodia. In the midst of 2,000 people Hubert stood up, raised his hands, and wept. As tears streamed down his face he recalled an Old Testament prayer and began reciting it out loud. He petitioned the Lord to raise up a man to do something about the horrible injustice he had just observed. Little did Hubert know, he was praying for himself and his entire family. One year later, Hubert and Agnes attended the same conference and were stunned when the speaker said the following from the platform, “last year a man here prayed this prayer and God was calling him to missions and the sex trafficking issue.” The prayer she mentioned was the Old Testament prayer Hubert had prayed. Hubert and Agnes knew the Lord was confirming the divine unction felt the previous year. With clear confirmation, the Tutwilers unanimously decided to leave their sunny Arizonian lifestyle. They began to seek God about where they were to go. Practical wisdom would have naturally placed them in the Philippines. After all, Agnes spoke the language and Hubert spent a lot of time on the island as an itinerant preacher. However, by the end of 2012 God made clear Cambodia was the destination they were to move their family. Before moving to Cambodia the Lord told Hubert, “I am going to introduce you to someone and he will set up you up in Cambodia and you are to do whatever he asks.” In February 2013, the Tutwilers were connected with Mark Geppert. After meeting with Mark, Hubert and Agnes were set to be in the country within the year. With tremendous faith and humility, the Tutwilers have been serving the Cambodian people for over two years. To learn more about where and how SEAPC serves, click here.SEAPC is dedicated to changing lives through prayer. Counting the Seeds
“You can tell me exactly how many seeds are in that apple. Can’t you? But it is only God who can tell you how many apples are in that seed.” I quickly scribbled the quote down in my notebook and shot an amazed glance at my wife Jessica. She knows that look! It’s the one that moves her to take a deep breath and to begin formulating real planning around the impossible vision that her husband is receiving in his heart.“Jess, what if we are planting the seeds into the ground today that bring healing and answers for autism around the world? What if we can establish a global platform for these children to be served?”What if Dr. Jia, Kim Bennett, and Dr. Kittenbrink and the hundreds they are training today in the United States and China through the SEAPC CARE project tap into the perfect pool and draw forth a future of hope for the parents of children with autism. What if “Sam,” the young Muslim boy with autism who is now being ministered to each week in our office in Oakmont, is the seed that God has chosen to change the world? What if he, or one of the other children we serve, reflects God’s healing on the earth again so that the rest of us understand just how much He loves us and how much grace and mercy rests in knowing Him?

I don’t know exactly which seed God will use, nor do I know on which specific day that seed will reach its harvest, but I do know that God is moving on the hearts of men and women around the world to plant seeds into South East Asia Prayer Center and our prayer-led approach to autism. And I know that we have been given a team of the world’s foremost leaders in autism for sowers and all of China for a field. Better than that, we have been given a promise from God, that whatever you and I put our hands to, according to His will, He will cause it to prosper.Today we have now completed more than three years in a 10-year partnership with the government of China, called the Chinese-American International Cooperative Agreement for the Training of Trainers in Autism, which we affectionately call SEAPC CARE. We have found success together as a team, reaching our original three-year goals of creating a replicable model for care, facilitating an international exchange for training, and identifying provincial leadership and hubs for training within China. Now we embrace the second phase of this work with its main goal to multiply the model across the nation of China. This phase will require much prayer, tremendous friendships, and your continued support. You are a seed sower in this work as well. Whether you pray, go, or give, your seed multiplies through us. Today I’m praying for people to read this post, to stop and pray for this vision, and to commit to becoming a part of its success. If you are called to pray: Pray that healing will flow through this work.If you are called to go: Join a spring, summer, or fall team to China. (Contact Carly Davis at carlyd@seapc.org)If you are called to give: Adopt a trainer, a center, or teamTrainer: Government recognition and certification to serve children with autism through SEAPC costs $250. We currently have a network of roughly 10,000 waiting to be trained and are willing to sponsor up to 1,000 through our network.Center: SEAPC will establish a center in 30 locations throughout China over the next three years. Each center will cost $30,000 to establish.Team: Spiritual, physical, and intellectual exchange is essential in this vision’s success. Please adopt a short-term exchange team and help offset the $5,000 costs per trip. SEAPC will lead five exchange trips in 2018.I believe that it is God’s perfect will that every man, woman, and child have the opportunity to know Jesus and the changing power of His grace. I believe that it is in His perfect will that these children and adults living with autism today are forever changed and change the world for the better! Please look at the seeds God has given you, think about the fruit that He will create from those seeds, and consider sowing them into SEAPC CARE project.Thank you, we are grateful for you!To learn more about where and how SEAPC serves, click here.SEAPC is dedicated to changing lives through prayer. SEAPC Coins for Kids 2017 Recap
They may not have been literal “pennies from heaven” but there are some pennies that definitely went toward heavenly purposes! I am referring to the money collected in 2017 for SEAPC Coins for Kids. There was a total of $16,000 raised, and the money was allocated both locally and overseas. Locally, some of the funds went toward providing warm winter clothing for refugees in the Pittsburgh area. Also, sponsorships were given for children to attend Christian-based retreats, and for at-risk kids to attend a summer Bible camp. Some of the collected funds went overseas to provide brand new playground equipment, kitchenware, and clothing for kids at the Takeo children’s home in Takeo, Cambodia.

You can be involved. Spread the word about Coins For Kids. Encourage your church to become involved by organizing a Coins For Kids fundraiser event. Perhaps the kids at your church can have a friendly competition between the boys and the girls to see who can collect the most donations over a 3-month campaign. Perhaps a group of adults and older teenagers from your church would be willing to organize a collection event outside of their local Walmart or local grocery store. Please contact our SEAPC office 412-826-9063 for specific directions on how to organize a fundraiser. Remember, mere coins can be the catalyst to opening the door to huge blessings! It may seem like just pocket change, but when the pocket change from one source is combined with the pocket change from various other sources and the love of Jesus is added, something much larger than you can ever imagine is accomplished! Additionally, the giver is also blessed. A scripture passage in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 holds a promise: “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all you need, you will abound in every good work.”We are looking forward to what this year holds for SEAPC Coins for Kids!To learn more about SEAPC Coins for Kids, click here.SEAPC is dedicated to changing lives through prayer. Receiving Jesus and a New Life
Today’s guest post was written by Rose, a Laotian sister whose name has been changed for her safety. In November, God set a plan in motion for me to meet a woman named Tar in central Laos. Because I work for an NGO, I often need to travel to project areas around Laos. Tar is a masseuse who I met at a massage house. While she was massaging my back in a quiet, private room, I felt like the Holy Spirit wanted me to share the Gospel of Christ with her. Then I began to talk with her by asking simple questions about her and her family. She was sharing about her life difficulties and health problems, and I found out that she was blind in one of her eyes.

After that, I talked to her about the amazing miracle that Jesus did in my family and in my life. I shared about how God healed my mom after her stroke, and she can now walk again. When she heard this she became very excited to know more about Jesus Christ. She asked me to pray for her but said she was afraid to receive Jesus at that time. I didn’t give up, and I interceded in prayer for her that night. The following day, I got a message from her via Line. She was checking with me to see if I had some time to talk with her. She said, “I would like to have someone that I can share everything with. I do not know why I trust you so much and I really want to talk with you.”Then I made plans to meet up with her in a coffee shop near my hotel. The first questions she asked me were, “I am Buddhist, so how can I receive Jesus into my life? My family is Buddhist, how will they accept me if I become a Christian?” I explained everything to her, and she understood. We spent a few hours talking, and she shared through tears with me that she had done the wrong thing in the massage house. She sometimes earned money from going back to the hotel with customers. She has a 5-year-old daughter with a Thai man, but they are divorced. She had a new boyfriend but they broke up again after she had two abortions. She told me that she is not healthy, her parents often get sick, and she finds it difficult to earn for the family.I told her, “Do not worry, Jesus is the healer and provider. He will heal the broken-hearted. He will fulfill all your needs. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Whoever comes to him will never be thirsty again.” And I also spoke many other encouraging words from the Bible to her. After that, she repented and received Jesus to be her Savior, and I prayed for her and her left eye. She said her eye used to be in pain all the time, but now all of the pain is gone. Amen! After she received Jesus Christ, she decided to walk away from darkness.“I decided to turn away from my old ways, and I will do the right thing from now on,” said Tar. She added, “I believe that God will provide for my needs, and I will not earn money from wrong way again.”She is so thankful to God for the new life that she will start again. She decided to take away all the Buddha idols and altar in her bedroom. To learn more about where and how SEAPC serves, click here.SEAPC is dedicated to changing lives through prayer.
